For over 50 years now, the Indonesian government has unsuccessfully tried to turn West Papua into an Indonesian land.
They have flooded the country with millions of Javanese "transmigrants", banned Papuans from singing traditional songs or wearing traditional clothing and even forcing all school children to wear the Indonesian flag as their uniform.
But Papuans will never accept themselves to be Indonesian.
They are MELANESIAN. Proud to be Pacific Islanders who will struggle on until every one of their children can grow up in full freedom in the land of their ancestors.
Papuans are reclaiming Papua!
